I always have the greatest conversations with Claire in the car. Here's the latest....
"Mom, what would you do if you had a baby let's say when I was at college?"
"Well, that would be pretty interesting."
"I know but what would you do?"
"Well sweetie, I'll probably be too old to have babies by the time you're in college."
"Oh. Well how old are you when you stop having babies?"
"It's different for each woman."
"Well how old?"
"Probably between 40 and 50."
"But mom, how do you know? I mean how will you know when you're done having babies? Do they send you a letter in the mail saying you're all done?"
I cracked a huge grin and said, "Oh Claire, I wish it happened that way. It would be a lot easier."
Of course she wanted to know how then so we had a more grown up talk but I still found myself chuckling about it all through her gymnastics lesson.

She is sooo curious. Allison just doesn't ask me those kinds of questions! Claire is a very bright girl. Good thing she has equally bright parents.
